The 8199 IP PoE+ Surface Mount Speaker supports the Wideband G.722 HD voice codec, providing high intelligibility and clarity for IP paging, voice announcements, and emergency communication. This makes it ideal for environments where communication clarity is critical, such as schools, healthcare facilities, and commercial spaces. Powered via PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at), the 8199 supports both its built-in speaker and any connected 1199 satellite s\u00a0peakers without the need for external power. Using Multicast for Zone Paging<\/h3>\n

The 8199 IP PoE+ Surface Mount Speaker supports multicast zone paging for up to 50 zones, all configurable from a single device. Zones can be assigned in two ways: by mapping each multicast zone to a unique SIP extension (up to 50 page extensions available), or by using DTMF keypresses via the dial pad when making a page call\u2014helping minimize SIP registrations.<\/p>\n
